So I've been testing this for almost two months now and am still thrilled with it.

Pros-
Super lightweight
Very maneuverable
Very well built for a plastic vacuum. metal in all the important areas
Very easy to clean the cup, filters and cyclonic head area
Great assortment of tools, on board and off
Cleans as deep as a Bissell Momentum or Dyson
$159 at Costco
Very little dust escapes the Cup
Head is perfect size for going east and west on a staircase and gets around furniture like a champ
Handle makes it easy to use on staircases
Comes with extra filters
Longest handle of all the vacs in the showroom
Life time belt
Upholstery tool works real well
Two motor system so no running the head when edging or going over uph.
Hard floor friendly
Non pile height adjuster really works, has not stalled yet on stiff olefin piles or deeeeep shags

Cons-
Narrow head (but long handle makes up for it imo.)
Small cup (keep a trash bag by the front door, you'll be emptying it often)
Not the manliest of colors
Brushroll does not come out easy, if at all (life time warranty on belt so no biggie so far)
Cord could use ten more feet
Does not clean as close to the edge as some (but the crevice tools are great)
Not the vacuum to bring to that 87,000 ft warehouse

If it lasts just twice as long as a POS Bissell I'll be thrilled.
No sings of slowing down yet.

one thing I have been doing is flipping off the belt on my 887 after I use it and store it with the belt off the impeller. since I don't use the 887 on every job, its a snap to roll the belt back on the impeller and keeps it from getting stretched out. I also took off the old belt that was stretched out saved it and when I need a new belt I will put it back on to see if works as good as a new one. the problem with the 887 isn't that the belts wear out, they just stretch out. so far its been working great. for guys that use the vac on every job this might not be the best option for them.

After about two months with my new Kenmore I couldn't me more happy. You really never can tell how dirty a carpet is especially cgd just by looking at it. I like the dirt sensor on it because it lets me know how much soil is in the carpet. If the light stays on then I need to slow down and vice versa. The belt and brush roll are very easy to service. The top of the vacuum has two slots that pop out and the top cover comes off. That makes it very easy and convenient. It also has a switch that shuts the belt off for vacuuming hard floors or steps with just the hose. It has a bag, but I can use it for about 5 average jobs or two to three very dirty ones. It picks up great and I never have to clean a filter. I like the hose assembly becasue there are no turns or loops for things to lodge. Best of all I thought my mom paid 20 dollars for it, but she said she only paid 5 dollars at the goodwill store. It works great. I did a job that was about 50 miles from my house and left the vacuum. I drove all the way back to get it. That is how much I like it.

I have used several dysons that my customers owned and this kenmore blows them away with functionality. It is very practical for my business and I don't have to empty it five times on a job.

Just my two cents.

We have been using the shark for about 4 months, and we love it. Like Mikey said, the cup is very small, but it kicks butt. I did take it apart to completely clean the brush, won't do that again if I don't have to. After seeing ours in action, one of our custys bought one and loves it also. When my wife needs to vacuum at home, she'll get the Shark off the truck. I think this vacuum is a keeper. BTW, we bought ours at Walmart.

thats basically a Windsor Sensor vac!!!

Sebo makes them for Windsor. I spend a bit on the bags and filters , but it sucks crap outta carpet really well. And Ron Werner caressed mine. A little too lovingly....

I love my Sebo! You guys and your $150 dollar vacs, buying 2 or three a year. I've had mine for over 4 years, use it daily and it just keeps on sucking. Quit being so cheap and spend 5 bills on a vacuum.

Wallyworld has a blue Navigator without hand-held turbo brush and with a shorter crevice tool for $159.00. Seems to be otherwise the same.

I do appreciate Mikey trying new things and sharing his experiences with us.

I stopped by Target today to pick up a Shark.

It may be the world's best vac, but it looks like it should have a Fisher-Price logo on it. Tiny head and lavender, even.

I couldn't bring myself to buy it. Just because of its unprofessional appearance.

I've been using a Royal Commercial (all-metal tank) for the past six years, and a Sanitaire before that. I would like to try a bagless. At least the Royal looks professional.

So, what is the best, professional-looking, bagless vac?

Not one mention of it's girlishness in six or more weeks, you guys who think the home owner notices what type of vacuum your using are out of your minds.

Customers always notice your vacs. We always get customers asking questions about our orecks and wanting to try them out.

Saturday I was a little early for an empty rental condo - the lady was there working up a lather with a POS Dirt devil on it's last legs. I asked her if she wanted to use my Sebo. She's buying one- and she's not a spendthrift.

I asked my vacuum guru today and he told me they recently switched to Panasonic for manufacture. They used to use Dirt Devil.

Always?

come on, I use to sell my customer Sanitaires, over 150 of them actually. On average they only notice if you make a big deal out of it.

and If I were using Orecks I would cover them with a large Hefty sack.

Dude, those things really "suck"..
