It's every site I can find that is hosted by them.
Time to move to another host, I think. Might take some time to rebuild the site, but it was overdue for an overhaul anyway.

a basic hosting package from any of them will be fine and cost ~ $10 a month

I had BigWest build me an updated site but had to have Andrechelle transfer the domain name to me
in the early days that’s how Mark handled the accounts for those of us that didn’t know any better

Found the .tar backup! It is a bit older, but I haven't changed too much since the backup.

I'm assuming that is a full cpanel backup so you should be able to just restore it from cpanel on your new hosting and then point the nameservers there

Her site is back up so I'm assuming she isn't completely gone and your site error (503) indicates that the server is "working"
