I have a long list of crazy things carpet cleaners (my customers) have done.

At this early hour, I think this one might be the best, but others could follow:

A guy up in western New York was approached by a cop as he emptied his waste tank on the street. Cop told him he was littering and the fine would be 300.00 (mild compared to a DCNR or Game Commission fine).

The cleaner protested that all of his products were non-toxic, and that the waste water was so safe for the environment that he could drink it.

(Volunteering that last bit of information was, of course, a big mistake)

The cop said: "If you drink that, I'll forget the ticket"

The cleaner cupped his hands, let the black filth of his waste tank fill his hands.....and drank it!

He then threw up over and over again.

The cop laughed and left him without a fine.

The cleaner's wife was his "helper" and she was the one who told me the story. He was sick the rest of the week and couldn't work. She told me they lost more money with cancelled jobs than the fine.

Me? I wouldn't drink waste tank water to avoid a 30,000.00 fine.

Wasn't there a guy who did the "ice bucket challenge" several years ago using waste water? I think the same thing happened to him!

I've seen that one a few times, but without the last line.
