I do work for a few restoration companies.

We had a request to clean new, untouched, wall to wall….

Well, as the restoration people were replacing content, they somehow got tar on the carpet from Dolley wheels.

They tried to clean it themselves… with, get this, Googone, dawn dish soap, and as a Hail Mary, GASOLINE!!!!

Obviously, it didn’t fully come out, and we have been asked to try to salvage this abortion…

My reply was ‘you’ve ruined the new carpet, replace’.

Now I’m being looked at as the bad guy???

How would YOU respond???

Tell them you know what you're doing! And you are so experienced in this business that if you didn't do it properly, to call another CC business to "FIX" it. And IF... they can get it out, you'll pay the bill. And if they can't get it out, then they can replace the carpet since they screwed it up


I can't stand these entitled customers who think nothing is their fault
